In the www.whizle homepage we sought to highlight the main elements of a whizle. Each whizle is made up of:
1- a name / title
2- description of what the whizle attempts to deliver
3- steps: a list of sequenced containers, each consisting of an action + resources
The resources can contain videos, pictures or files
What makes a whizle useful is that knowledge and insight about how to achieve a goal or learn a new skill can be posted in installments and from a number of people. Also, the order of the steps in the whizle can be changed as new steps that fills some gaps are added

mission is to make sharing plans for projects or guides easy and re-usable. By allowing users to publish plans in steps which they can reuse.
The building block is a step. Each step is made up of : Action and Resources which can be a file a user upload or some dynamic content from the web, like a YouTube or a Flickr. Resources are meant to make a step more useful and richer.
Whizle was designed with the objective of making it easier for techies, software developers, business professionals and students to share plans and guides. To help them locate a structured guide or a plan to achieve worthy a goal. Examples are: plans for configuring software ( like a database or a development environment, etc.) or a business objective such as increasing the traffic to your website, or reaching a bigger market by going international, or learning a new financial technique.
Users and visitors with general interest like getting better at doing a certain task or obtaining a visa to enter a country they plan to visit are also part of the user base that we want to attract.
Of particular interest are guides and plans that requires a relatively long period of time to accomplish. Why we focus on sharing and publishing long-term plans? Because they are harder to find and share and gather from different sources. So the step-by-step approach of Whizle will make a difference by allowing different people to publish different steps and connecting them to draw a bigger guide or plan.
The site is not designed for general guides like fixing your car or camera. We might have something to offer in the future with regard to short term goals, but not now.
Whizles (guides or plans) is a sequence of step. Each Whizle has a ‘Purpose’ that describes what the final goals of the plan is and where it can be used. Authors ,Whizlers, have profiles that maintain their interest and help match them with plans they might be interested in.
Once you are sat to achieving a goal or a target, you can search the site for plans that guides you to achieving it. A little tool called ‘Whizmark‘ is a bookmarking tool that you can easily attach to your toolbar so you can post resources to the Whizles that you are working on.
If there is no specific Whizle to solve your problem on the site, start by posting one and adding the few steps that you might already be aware of.
Other users can take it further and add more resources and steps to you Whizle. It is this connecting of ‘dots’ that we aim to facilitate in order to collaboratively build better plans for important business and life goals.
